Hi, I’m Larry Schermick, Project Manager at Hammer Creek Renovations. Construction has been a central part of my life for nearly four decades. From my early days as a carpenter to owning and operating Schermick Construction for 26 years, I’ve dedicated my career to building and remodeling homes that blend quality, functionality, and timeless design. At Schermick Construction, I led a team that delivered over $8.5 million in residential projects, overseeing everything from client relations and design to budgeting, permitting, and subcontractor coordination. I take pride in creating systems that ensure efficiency and excellence—skills I carried into leadership roles at several other companies, where I managed multi-million-dollar renovation portfolios, developed company policies, and led drafting, estimating, and selections teams. I thrive in fast-paced, detail driven environments and enjoy collaborating with homeowners to bring their visions to life. Whether it’s crafting detailed project specifications or troubleshooting challenges on the fly, I’m committed to delivering results that exceed expectations. Outside of work, I enjoy working on projects around my own home, driving my Ford Mustangs, playing pickleball, and spending quality time with my wife, our two sons and their families. A Lebanon County Career and Technology Center alumnus in Carpentry, he holds a certification in Electrical Construction and Maintenance from Thaddeus Stevens. Gavin’s comprehensive background encompasses flooring, tiling, and various trades. Gavin derives immense satisfaction from the tangible results of his work—the tangible completion of projects that reflect his efforts and expertise. Recognized for his coachable demeanor and willingness to learn, Gavin takes pride in his adaptability, drive, and unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional work on each project. Driven by his passion for hands-on work and the boundless potential of his chosen field, Gavin finds purpose in utilizing his skills to support others, particularly those in need. Outside of professional endeavors, Gavin maintains an active lifestyle through snowboarding, basketball, and outdoor activities. He is also an ardent volunteer and actively engages with his church community. An interesting fact about Gavin is his proficiency in juggling, which surpasses the average level. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, embracing the outdoors through hunting, fishing, and other activities that keep him connected to nature. Hi, I’m Matt Peachey, Project Coordinator at Hammer Creek Renovations. My love for construction started at a young age while helping with my grandfather’s drywall company and later framing houses. Growing up around the industry gave me an appreciation for the hard work, craftsmanship, and problem solving that go into every project. My grandfather’s work ethic and passion for construction inspired me to follow the same path and continue building on those values today. One of the things I enjoy most is seeing a project come to life. There is something rewarding about watching an idea on paper become a space that a family gets to enjoy every day. As Project Coordinator, I enjoy helping keep projects organized and supporting our team, trade partners, and homeowners throughout the process. My goal is to help create a positive experience from start to finish. I proudly served four years in the United States Marine Corps, which helped shape my discipline, attention to detail, and commitment to doing things the right way. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our four children. Whether we are enjoying the outdoors, attending events together, or simply spending time as a family, those moments mean the most to me. I also enjoy hunting, fishing, and sprint car races whenever I get the chance. I am thankful to be part of the Hammer Creek Renovations team and enjoy helping homeowners bring their vision to life while making the remodeling process as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

Hi, I’m Samantha Plocido, Office Manager and Executive Assistant at Hammer Creek Renovations. I began my career with a small contractor and later worked in the utility and construction industries. Over the past 13 years, I’ve supported operations, led teams, managed daily workflows, and helped coordinate 24/7 emergency response efforts. Along the way, I earned FEMA Incident Command certifications that strengthened my organization, communication, and problem-solving skills. What I love most about this industry is helping create spaces that feel welcoming, functional, and truly like home. I’ve always enjoyed interior design, home projects, and finding ways to make everyday spaces more meaningful. One of my favorite things about Hammer Creek Renovations is working with a team that values integrity, takes pride in their work, and genuinely cares about homeowners. It’s rewarding to see a project come to life from the first idea to the finished result. As an avid home chef and amateur baker, I’m especially excited by kitchen and dining room renovations. I love seeing design choices come together to create spaces where families gather and make memories. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my rescue dog, Ozzie. You’ll often find us paddleboarding, hiking, or exploring nature together. I also enjoy cooking, baking, pottery, music, and growing my vinyl record collection. Giving back to the community is important to me. I’ve volunteered with organizations including United Way, Salvation Army Angel Tree, SILO of Chester County, and Meals on Wheels, and I’ve mentored young women entering the workforce. The most rewarding part of my work is knowing that each project helps create a place where families can connect, celebrate milestones, and build lasting memories.

Hi, I’m Aiden Heim, Marketing Intern at Hammer Creek Renovations. Growing up around construction, I’ve always had a deep appreciation for the work that goes into transforming a space. Getting to help tell that story through marketing is something I’m genuinely passionate about. I love finding creative ways to bring the Hammer Creek brand to life and put our work in front of the right people. When I’m not working, I spend my time on the pickleball courts My girlfriend and I love spending time outdoors together — hunting is one of our favorite ways to do that. I’m also big on the gym and try to get there as much as possible. At the end of the day though, nothing beats being home with my family and my dogs. I’m proud to be part of the Hammer Creek family and excited for what’s ahead.
